Choose from 3 Remote Options for RJ45 Cat 5e On-Line/Off-Line Switching!

10/27/2008

Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, has just announced Pathway Models 7340, 7340A, and 7340B RJ45 Cat 5e On-Line/Off-Line Switches. Each switch allows the capability of connecting two separate devices through ports A and B, via On-Line or Off-Line connection. The switches may be controlled manually via front panel pushbutton or remotely from a DB9 port.

All 3 of these network switches have unique Remote Port differences. Models 7340 and 7340A's remote ports accept dry contact open/close logic to control switch position. Model 7340A also provides a set of contacts for switch position feedback. Model 7340B accepts RS-232 Serial ASCII commands to control the switch position.

All of the models feature an Off-Line switch position to disconnect and isolate port A from Port B. The switch ports of each model are transparent to all data and all (8) signals of each interface are switched. An Optional Wide Range Power Supply, Cat. No. 517277 is available in place of standard 115 VAC power module.
