Thermal Arc(R) Pro-Plus(R) 400MST Offers Tough Multi-Process Welding Portability

St. Louis - March 15, 2002 - The portable Thermal Arc® Pro-Plus® 400MST is an energy efficient multi-process welding machine built small, light (less than 50 lbs) and tough to withstand all the daily rigors of portable welding.

The user-friendly 400MST features a single knob weld output control and process selection button, with all other controls protected by an easy-access door. Controls are all digital and the process key allows the operator to choose between welding with MIG and flux cored wires, stick, lift and scratch TIG and carbon arc gouging. Once the program selections are made, up to five welding programs can be stored and recalled. The Pro-Plus's programmable controls deliver maximum flexibility, and feature local or remote control of the contactor and amps or volts.

The 400MST is designed with Smart Logic' Technology, making proper input voltage requirement available with a simple flip of the switch. No tools are required with Smart Logic, which also safeguards against damage if the machine is accidentally installed with improper voltage. The 400 MSTW is the world voltage version that accepts 208/230/400/460/575 input voltage 50/60Hz.
