New Cerama-Dip 538N-Green Coating for Ceramic Resistors Now Available

Valley Cottage, NY - October 3, 2008

SUMMARY

Cerama-Diptm 538N-GREEN, a new high temperature ceramic coating developed by Aremco Products, Inc., is now used to electrically insulate high temperature ceramic resistors for applications to 2600 °F (1427 °C).

FEATURES

Cerama-Diptm 538N-GREEN is a single part, water-based, green-pigmented, inorganic-ceramic coating system used to electrically isolate high power, high temperature ceramic resistors. This advanced coating exceeds the temperature limitations of conventional epoxies, phenolics and silicones, and can be used in applications as
high as 2600 °F (1427 °C). Exceptional electrical properties including a volume resistivity of 109 ohm-cm and dielectric strength of 225 volts per mil at room temperature are provided.

Cerama-Diptm 538N-GREEN is easily applied by dipping or brushing and cleans up prior to curing with warm water. Curing is accomplished by air-drying at room temperature for 1-2 hours, then step curing for 1-2 hours at 200 °F and 350 °F, respectively.
Cerama-Diptm 538N-GREEN is odorless and contains no volatile organic compounds that may affect the environment. No outgassing will occur upon curing or during operation.
Cerama-Diptm 538N-GREEN is available in standard pint, quart, gallon and five-gallon containers.

For more information about this advanced product, please contact Aremco's Technical Sales Department.
