October 9, 2008 - Capable of communicating with specific active RFID tags at a distance of up to 300 ft, RFID Reader Gateway GAO 227005 can collect, filter, and edit data from diverse kinds of readers, and store tag data to host system via Ethernet, USB, serial port, WLAN, and GPRS/GSM. It features internal real-time clock that provides accurate time stamps for data from tags. Unit can read and write to all long-range tags, as well as can save up to 2,000 messages on its internal memory.

GAO Provides Active RFID Reader Gateway


Toronto, Canada - GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) offers a new active RFID Reader Gateway (GAO 227005). The RFID hub is able to collect, filter, and edit data from diverse kinds of readers and store tag data to a host system via Ethernet, USB, serial port, WLAN and GPRS/GSM.

This hub communicates with specific GAO active RFID tags at a distance of up to 300 feet. Up to eight read/write modules can be concurrently connected to the hub. An internal real-time clock provides accurate time stamps for data from the tags, and an internal memory saves up to 2,000 messages in order to avoid data loss.
