Introducing the Fixturlaser GO, a Mid-Range Laser Shaft Alignment Designed to Allow Users to Get Alignments Done More Quickly, More Accurately
Richmond, Virginia VibrAlign Inc., US distributor for measurement and alignment systems from Fixturlaser AB of Gothenburg, Sweden, announces the introduction of the new Fixturlaser GO laser shaft alignment system.
The GO is being introduced in response to customer requests for a mid-range system that fits between VibrAlign's current offerings, the XA and the Shaft Hog. The XA, introduced in 2006, incorporates many technologies that were new to laser shaft alignment, along with completely redesigned software. With the XA, users are able to perform alignments significantly faster. In fact, "XA" stands for "Express Alignment".
The GO reflects Fixturlaser's "Express Alignment" philosophy in its design and technology. Express Alignment recognizes that alignment tools like the GO and the XA are most often used intermittently by maintenance and service professionals. The GO and XA are designed with interfaces and functions that once learned are easy to remember so that the user doesn't have to re-learn how to perform an alignment every time he picks up the instrument.
VibrAlign is committed to providing training to ensure that express alignment is the result of purchasing a GO or an XA. Having tools that are intuitive enough to pick up and put right to work, no matter how long after the initial training, is one way to address the work force availability and skill level issue.
The Fixturlaser GO shares features of both the Shaft Hog and the XA. The GO is similar to the Shaft Hog in that it uses wired connections between the display unit and the laser sensors, and has dedicated horizontal and vertical shaft alignment routines. Like the XA, the GO offers the same large detector size, line lasers for easy acquisition, and built-in inclinometers in both laser transmitter-detectors.
The GO is powered by C-cell batteries. It saves its data locally and can connect to a computer for download via a USB connection.
