Pulsed Laser Diode Modules come in 905 and 1550 nm versions.

September 29, 2008 - LS-Series pulsed laser diode modules are offered in 905 and 1,550 nm versions with pulse powers of 40-220 and 10-50 W and pulse lengths of 30-100 and 30-150 ns, respectively. They allow adjustment of pulse power and length via 2 control voltage inputs, and require +12 Vdc supply and TTL trigger signal in addition to the 2 control voltage inputs. Pulse length and output power may be varied while laser is operating.

Flexible Pulsed Laser Diode Modules

905 nm and 1550 nm

LASER COMPONENTS extends its range of pulsed laser diode modules with the introduction of two new versatile plug & play devices, which allow easy adjustment of pulse power and pulse length via two control voltage inputs.

The LS-series of pulsed laser diode modules combines all of the features needed to safely drive pulsed lasers of different powers within a single compact housing (46 x 34 x 12 mm). Two versions are offered, one at 905 nm with adjustable pulse power (40 - 220 W) and pulse length (30 - 100 ns), the other at 1550 nm with 10 - 50 W and 30 - 150 ns. The modules are easy to handle and require only a +12 VDC supply and a TTL trigger signal in addition to the two control voltage inputs. Pulse length and output power may be easily varied while the laser is operating, thus offering great flexibility which can mean real cost savings in product development.

The housing is fully nickel-plated in order to reduce EMI emissions from the module and to protect the module from any external EMI.

Typical applications of the PLD modules are range finding, surveying equipment, weapons simulation, illumination and optical trigger.
