Scorch-Retarding Co-agent suits peroxide-cured elastomers.


September 29, 2008 - Type SR533R is scorch-retarding version of triallyl isocyanurate (TAIC) that allows formulators to mitigate rapid onset of scorch and cure safety while maintaining cured physical properties. It is effective in peroxide cure of elastomers for applications such as oil and gas exploration, aerospace seals, and automotive and off-road gaskets that encounter sustained high temperatures and pressures.

Sartomer Introduces SR533R for Improved Scorch Resistance in Peroxide-Cured Elastomers


EXTON, Pa., September 18, 2008 - Global specialty chemicals manufacturer Sartomer Company introduces SR533R - a scorch-retarding version of triallyl isocyanurate (TAIC). This new coagent allows formulators to mitigate the rapid onset of scorch, and increase in-process and cure scorch safety while maintaining cured physical properties.

SR533R scorch-retarding coagent is effective in the peroxide cure of elastomers for demanding applications such as oil and gas exploration, aerospace seals, and automotive and off-road gaskets that encounter sustained high temperatures and pressures.
