Bernard Improves Welding Comfort and Access with New MIG Gun Accessories
Neck Grip reduces heat exposure and operator fatigue
Neck Grip increases welding accuracy and control
Neck Coupler reduces costs for difficult to reach weld joints
BEECHER, Ill., September 16, 2008 To improve operator comfort and access to difficult-to-reach joints, Bernard Welding Equipment has introduced a new MIG gun Neck Grip and Neck Coupler.
Constructed of a high temperature silicone rubber tube that slides onto all Bernard Q-Gun and S-Gun necks, the new Neck Grip reduces fatigue and increases operator control for welders who prefer to rest the neck of their Q-Gun or S-Gun on their hand or forearm while welding.
Many welders find that using their hand or forearm as a pivot point increases their welding accuracy and control, explained Product Manager Andy Monk. Unfortunately, this also exposes them to more heat and often results in discomfort and fatigue.
The neck grip shields the operators hand or forearm from the heat of the neck, and the high temperature silicone rubber provides better control and increased accuracy compared to the metallic neck tube.
Bernards new Neck Coupler allows customers to join two or more Q-Gun or S-Gun necks consecutively, thereby avoiding the costs and production delays of ordering a custom neck for applications with difficult-to-access weld joints.
The Neck Coupler is easily installed in under three minutes and provides joint access that would otherwise be impossible with a traditional MIG gun neck.
Product descriptions and installation instructions for both products can be found on the Spec Sheet section of Bernards Web site.
