Accelerometer for Modal Analysis

September 16, 2008 (Chatsworth, CA) - Dytran Instruments, Inc. has just released a miniature triaxial accelerometer designed for modal analysis testing. The new model 3263M8 is a high sensitivity (100 mV/g) accelerometer that has a broad frequency response (0.3 to 10,000 Hz). It features a lightweight titanium housing, a single 4-pin connector and a 4-40 tapped hole. This accelerometer is unique in that the labels of the axes X, Y and Z are laser marked in a large font size on three orthogonal faces, which aids the user in orienting the sensor. Priced at $1,060.

The model 3263M8 was designed for use in the following applications: modal analysis, noise vibration and harshness (NVH), environmental stress screening (ESS) and general purpose vibration.
