Tyco Electronics Expands Line of Rugged Industrial Ethernet Connectors
PCB-mounting Receptacle Offers IP67 Performance
HARRISBURG, Pa. - Sept. 16, 2008 - Tyco Electronics Corporation has added a pc board-mounting receptacle to its rugged sealed line of Industrial Ethernet RJ-45 connectors. The new connector uses a through-hole mounting, with two plastic legs providing additional mechanical retention before and after soldering. The connectors are threaded for panel mounting with a supplied coupling nut.
The new PCB-mounting version joins the expanding lineup of IP67-rated, ODVA-compliant performance connectors suited for EtherNet/IP, DeviceNet, and ControlNet applications. The modular plug and jack connectors offer IP 67 sealing and a quick-connect bayonet coupling that meet IEC 61076-3-106 Variant 1 specifications. The coupling mechanism offers positive locking for reliable connections in harsh environments. The housings are polarized to prevent mis-mating.
