PCI based network analyzer netANALYZER is designed for use with real-time industrial Ethernet protocols such as EtherNet/IP with CIPSYNC, EtherCAT, PROFINET RT/IRT, and SERCOS III. Network traffic can be time stamped within 10 nsec resolution, providing accurate information to determine jitter and delay times for individual nodes. It is capable of measuring network performance of high performance drives and motion control products based on IEEE 1588 specification.

Hilscher Releases the netANALYZER, a PCI Card with Integrated TAPs for Real-Time Ethernet Evaluation
August 2008 - Lisle, IL - Hilscher North America Inc. is pleased to announce the release of the netANALYZER, a PCI Based network analyzer designed for use with Real Time Industrial Ethernet protocols such as EtherNet/IP with CIPSYNC, EtherCAT, PROFINET RT/IRT and SERCOS III. Network traffic can be time stamped within a 10ns resolution thus providing accurate information to determine jitter and delay times for individual nodes on a Real Time Ethernet network. The netANALYZER is controlled by WireShark; a network analyzer with plug-in's for; EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, PowerLink, PROFINET (RT/IRT) and SERCOS III.
Most Industrial Ethernet Control Systems supports both star and bus topology with performance requirements that far exceed typical office based system thus requiring a new class of network analyzing tools capable of measuring propagation delays and jitter to and from a specific node. The netANALYZER provides 4 full duplex ports thus allowing the measurement of traffic into and out of a node. With these features netANALYZER is capable of measuring the network performance of high performance drives and motion control products based on the IEEE 1588 specification. netANALYZER can measure the performance of products with EtherNet/IP CIPSYNC, PROFINET/IRT, SERCOS III, PowerLink and EtherCAT.
