AC to DC Power Supplies have NEMA 4X rated enclosure.
September 4, 2008 -
With Grade 304 stainless steel enclosure, water-cooled power supplies can deliver 3.3-45 kW of dc power in hazardous environments complete with remote interface capability. They feature voltage ratings from 5-1,000 Vdc, current ratings from 3-2,700 Adc, and input at 50, 60, and 400 Hz. Enclosure allows power supplies to operate in particularly corrosive environments and be isolated from outside environment, providing protection against windblown dust and rain, and splashing water.

NEMA-4X DC Power Supplies up to 45kW for Hazardous Environments
Magna-Power Electronics, Inc. has developed a NEMA-4X rated enclosure for their water-cooled AC to DC power supplies. With this new enclosure, up to 45kW of DC power can now be delivered in hazardous environments complete with remote interface capability.
Leader in innovative high-performance DC power supplies, Magna-Power Electronics' new NEMA-4X enclosed power supplies are available in power levels from 3.3 to 45kW with voltage ratings from 5 to 1000 Vdc, current ratings from 3 to 2700 Adc, and input at 50, 60, and 400 Hz.
The NEMA-4X enclosure allows Magna-Power Electronics' water-cooled power supplies to be completely isolated from the outside environment. This isolation provides protection against windblown dust and rain, splashing water, hose directed water, and to be undamaged by the formation of ice on the enclosure. Made completely from Grade 304 stainless steel, the new enclosure allows Magna-Power Electronics power supplies to operate in particularly corrosive environments. The NEMA-4X enclosure provides a cost-effective solution for deploying high powered DC power supplies in environments previously considered too harsh.
The power supplies can be remotely operated using Magna-Power Electronics Remote Interface Software (RIS Panel) from a computer terminal. Communications are interfaced through RS232 (standard), USB, GPIB, TCP/IP, and IEEE-485. In addition, the power supplies feature extensive control through numerous external inputs for integration with a programmable logic controller.
These power supplies are designed to provide reliable, long-term, controlled operation. Immediate demand comes from electrodionization water treatment plants, electroplating facilities, drilling, mines, petro-chemical facilities, shipboard, and military applications. Magna-Power Electronics NEMA-4X enclosed water-cooled units are now in production with delivery time from 5 to 7 weeks.
