Fox Electronics' 2.5-Volt XpressO LVPECL and LVDS Oscillators to Include 5 mm x 3.2 mm Package Size

Fort Myers, Fla. August 25, 2008 - Fox Electronics, a leading global supplier of frequency control solutions, has expanded its XpressO LVPECL and LVDS oscillator series to include a 5 mm x 3.2 mm package size. The FXO-LC52 and FXO-PC52 oscillators are ideal for use in SONET, Ethernet, storage area network, broadband access, microprocessors/DSP/FPGA, industrial controllers, test and measurement equipment, fiber channel and portable applications requiring low power usage.

The oscillators feature 2.5-volt operation and require up to 50% less current than traditional 3.3-volt models, resulting in less current and heat generation. In addition, the oscillator series feature significantly low levels of jitter and phase noise by employing noise reducing DSM technology and low noise architecture.

The LVPECL and LVDS oscillators feature application specific integrated circuits (ASICs) for accurate performance, decreased cost and increased flexibility. Designed to benefit engineers and purchasing personnel alike, these high-quality, low-cost oscillators offer short lead times and are guaranteed to be shipped within 24 hours for samples and within 10 days maximum for production quantities.

The LVPECL and LVDS oscillators offer a frequency range of 0.75 MHz to 1.0 GHz and stabilities as tight as ±20 ppm and operate at temperatures of -20°C to +70°C or ±25 ppm for -40°C to +85°C.

The RoHS-compliant series is constructed of gold over nickel termination finish and features industry-standard packaging including footprint and pin-out. In addition, the series offers Fox's patented serial identification system with comprehensive traceability to ensure quality control by tracing any product back to its original manufacturing lot.

Pricing for a FXO-LC525, 312.5 MHz LVDS XpressO oscillator (50 ppm, -20°C to +70°C) in quantities of 1000 is $5.21. Delivery is next day for samples, 10 days for volume production.
