Designed to transfer empty drums from conveyor and stack them onto pallet, Model EDP-500 air-over-electric system loads 30-55 gal steel, fiber, or poly drums in 4, 5, or 6 drum pattern, onto pallet. Featuring steel components and all-welded construction, unit has selector switch to keep transfer carriage in home position allowing tall IBC to pass through.

A new, fully automatic empty drum palletizer, designed to transfer empty drums from a conveyor and stack them onto a pallet, has been introduced by Specialty Equipment of Houston, Texas.
The Model EDP-500 is an air-over-electric system that can handle 30 to 55 gallon steel, fiber or poly drums in a 4, 5 or 6 drum pattern, (depending on size) onto a pallet. The average load time is four drums per minute. An automatic pallet dispenser is also available to discharge a waiting pallet.
Vacuum cups lower onto the drums then raise them up. An overhead gantry then shuttles the load to the drop off station where they are lowered onto the waiting pallet. The new palletizer also has a selector switch which allows for the transfer carriage to remain in the home position so a tall IBC can pass through.
Sturdy steel components and all-welded construction provide strength, to provide long-term operation.
