August 19, 2008 - Featuring high contrast LCD display, GAO6413 optical time domain reflectometer measures unit/connection/transmission loss and accurately locates faults or breaks in optical fibers. Compact, lightweight device features Bellcore GR196 file format compliant read/write file, and can measure event dead zone within 1.6 m. Battery-powered fiber test instrument also comes with USB interface, serial port, and parallel interface to transfer data into PCs and notebooks.

This Optical Time Domain Reflectometer integrates various useful functions into a compact, light-weight device. The waterproof exterior makes it suitable for use in adverse environments. With a high contrast LCD display, the mini OTDR features user friendly touch screen operations and long lasting battery life. This useful device conveniently measures unit/connection/transmission loss and accurately locates faults or breaks in optical fibers.

GAO6413 has a high precise sample resolution and a large capacity for sampling points. The event dead zone can be measured within 1.6m and the read/write file is compliant with the Bellcore GR196 file format. The fiber test instrument has intelligent battery capacity display with a long battery operating life of up to 8 hours. The OTDR also comes with USB interface, serial port and parallel interface to transfer data into PCs and notebooks. In addition, GAO6413 can be widely applied in various fields such as manufacture, construction and maintenance of optical fiber networks.
