New ABB Analyzer Cuts Phosphate Monitoring Costs for Power Generation and Large-Scale Steam Operations
WARMINSTER, PA - New Navigator 600 Phosphate analyzer from ABB Instrumentation significantly cuts the cost of phosphate monitoring while improving ease of use. The new process analyzer substantially reduces the amount of reagents and maintenance generally associated with phosphate analysis.
Aimed at the power generation industry and other large-scale steam raising industrial applications, the Navigator 600 for phosphate uses 10% of the reagents typically consumed by units from other manufacturers. Remote management and automatic calibration, zero, and cleaning greatly reduce maintenance.
Comprehensive on-board diagnostics and predictive maintenance functions minimize unscheduled downtime. As a result, the new analyzer makes possible three months of unattended operation. In addition, a carefully designed wet section reduces annual maintenance attention for tubing and capstan replacement. Accuracy is 0 to 15 ppm PO4.
The analyzer comes in single or multi-stream configurations, enabling sequential monitoring of up to six streams. Output signals available include 4-20 mA, ethernet and optional Profibus DP V1. The user can program the unit for continuous or sampled measurements.
Based on the same platform as ABB's ScreenMaster videographic data recorders, the operator interface provides a choice of data display formats, including chart, bargraph, and digital indicator views. Front-mounted pushbuttons allow easy device interaction in a familiar Windows environment. Operation and commissioning are straightforward, with menus presenting options for setting and fine-tuning parameters.
Historical logs provide operators with access to alarm, totalizer and audit trail data. Process data and historical logs are securely archived to a removable SD card with capacity of up to 2 Gbytes.
