MEAN WELL has announced the introduction of 12W regulated single/dual output DC/DC converter - SCW12 / DCW12 series - for the growing demands of low cost and miniature size applications. With DIP packaging, these 12W products maintain the same size as original 3W products (1.25" * 0.8" * 0.48") which increase the power density by 4 times and can still work at full load under 60° of ambient temperature. In this popular industrial form factor, right now MEAN WELL can offer 3W, 5W, 8W, and 12W products that provide multiple choices for space constraint applications.
SCW12 and DCW12 series are designed to comply with the standard pin assignment in the market. Other standard features include 2:1 wide input range, 1500VDC input / output isolation, remote ON/OFF control, low ripple noise, low cost, CE / FCC compliance, and short circuit/overload protection. Besides, the five-sided shield metal case can significantly enhance their EMC characteristics that make them suitable for industrial control, telecom / datacom, and distributed power architecture related applications.
