Thiele Technologies Introduces Revolutionary Bag Top Registration and Bag Deflation Systems
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - July 24, 2008 - Thiele Technologies, a leader in packaging
technology and equipment, has developed two revolutionary enhancements to its Star Series bag filling system.
Thiele's innovative new bag top registration system optimizes the vertical position of empty bags prior to filling. A servo-driven linear actuator, utilizing information from a vision system, precisely controls bag length, optimizing filling and sealing efficiencies. The bag top registration system also incorporates a side squaring mechanism to further promote accurate presentation of the bags into the filling and sealing systems.
In addition to its bag top registration system, Thiele has developed a new bag deflation system for poly bags. This innovation utilizes a lift mechanism within the
internal poly bag sealing station to squeeze excess air out of a filled bag prior to sealing. Adjustable parameters include dwell and duration, enabling the machine to be fine-tuned according to the specific bulk density of a given filled product.
These leading-edge innovations to Thiele's Star Series bag filling system arrive on the heels of several recent enhancements to the system, including the incorporation of single - and dualspout filling stations with integrated poly and paper bag sealers, a programmable logic controller (PLC) based control system for its net weigh scales, and a system of real-time alerts and a fault history log to improve system performance and productivity.
Since introducing the Star Series in 1993, Thiele has installed more than 200 of the systems across a diverse array of industries, including pet food, fertilizer, sugar, salt and animal feed. Thiele's Star Series bag filling system is available in a single-spout OmniStar system or a dualspout UltraStar system. Sealing stations can be added and configured according to each customer's individual requirements.
