LED Spot-Curing System is CE marked.

August 7, 2008 - Suited for spot curing of coatings as well as adhesive bonding of polycarbonate, PVC, PET, metal, glass, and other substrates, BlueWaveŽ LED generates light using array of surface mount LEDs instead of traditional metal halide or mercury bulbs. LEDs produce visible light energy in narrow wavelength band centered at 410 nm. System emits maximum visible-light intensity output of over 2,500 mW/cm˛ from 8 mm dia lightguide, and allows users to adjust intensity output from 0-100%.

DYMAX BlueWaveŽ LED System Now CE Marked for Global Distribution

July 25, 2008

The BlueWaveŽ LED visible light, high-intensity spot-curing system from DYMAX Corporation offers many advantages over traditional UV spot-curing systems including no bulbs to change, cool cures, no warm-up, and constant intensity for thousands of hours. Now this popular system is CE marked, making it available globally.

The BlueWave LED generates light using an array of surface mount LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) instead of traditional metal halide or mercury bulbs. The LEDs produce visible light energy in a relatively narrow wavelength band centered at 410 nm, as contrasted to a typical broad band, high-pressure UV bulb (300-500 nm). This system emits a maximum visible-light intensity output of over 2,500 mW/cm˛ from an 8 mm diameter lightguide, and allows users to adjust intensity output from 0% to 100%. The relatively narrow band produced by LEDs generates cooler curing temperatures. The BlueWave LED is excellent for spot curing of coatings, as well as adhesive bonding of polycarbonate, PVC, PET, metal, glass and many other substrates.

The BlueWave LED curing system can cure many of DYMAX's visible light-curing adhesives that are currently being produced. Their Applications Engineering Group can offer adhesive recommendations for assembly processes utilizing the BlueWave LED curing systems.

DYMAX Corporation is a technology-based company specializing in the formulation, manufacture and service of advanced assembly adhesives, coatings, epoxies, masking resins, and light curing systems.
