Day-Brite® Lighting Introduces High-Efficiency SofTrace Lighting Fixture with Efficiency in Excess of 95 Percent

TUPELO, Miss., July 10 -- Day-Brite Lighting has developed SofTrace, the first lighting luminaire of its kind to offer a concealed lamp center panel with efficiency in excess of 95 percent and total luminaire efficacy as high as 87 lumens per Watt. The development of SofTrace, and its universal appeal, makes high performance architectural products available to budgets of all sizes while reducing energy costs.

SofTrace features contouring sides to create a fluid appearance with soft illumination across the face of the luminaire, for natural, visually comfortable lighting that eliminates glare. Its streamlined, lean design provides uniform distribution of light on the workplane and allows greater luminaire spacing. Recommended lighting levels can be achieved utilizing energy densities as low as 0.5 W / sq. ft. (diffuse) or 0.6 W / sq. ft. (perf.).

SofTrace offers an array of enclosure options and can be used with remarkable efficiency across all lamp types including T8, T5, T5HO or CF. A wide variety of ballast factor options and stepped or continuous dimming are also available.
