Dome'l Announces Branding of the Dominator(TM) Door

Brings Safety to Multi-Storied Buildings

Hurricanes and Tornados Have Met Their Match

CLIFTON, N.J., July 9 / -- Dome'l, http://www.domelinc.com/, a manufacturer based in Clifton, NJ, has answered the call to mitigate natural disasters by designing functional and rugged doors. They feature The Dominator(TM) and Hurricane Doors that have been added to the company's product line. "These high performance doors are architecturally designed for balconies and terraces of multi-storied buildings, condos and upscale resorts in windy cities, such as, New York, Boston, Chicago, Seattle, San Francisco, along the coastlines of Mexico, the Caribbean, and hurricane/tornado prone areas of the United States," says Mel Cohen, CEO of Dome'l.

People living in "tornado alley" areas of the country, who experience storms, hurricanes and tornadoes on a recurring basis, need special defense mechanisms to survive Mother Nature's vagaries. Dome'l's latest products, The Dominator(TM), a specialized "vault-like" door, and the high impact-resistant Hurricane Door, have been added to a long list of successful products from the company founded in 1984.

The Hurricane Doors are designed to provide the ultimate defense against hurricanes without the use of shutters. They are manufactured using laminated glass with a strong interlayer that absorbs the impact of airborne objects while preventing shattering. Additionally, this pre-hung door system utilizes thermally insulated, rugged aluminum throughout the frame, door and threshold to yield unsurpassed performance for energy efficiency and durability.

The Dominator(TM) door system is laboratory-tested to an incredible design pressure of 135 psf, easily exceeding industry performance standards. This superior door system utilizes a heavy-gauge extruded aluminum construction combined with a "vault-like" multi-point locking mechanism to create an impenetrable barrier against noise, rain, snow and high winds. The unique glass and aluminum balcony doors have been designed so they can blend with existing structures, both commercial and residential, by incorporating anodized and/or custom color finishes. They feature elegant European-styled hardware in a variety of styles and finishes including solid brass, brushed chrome and satin nickel to name a few. Different types of energy-efficient insulated glass options are offered, according to the needs of the customer: including Low E coatings, argon gas, reflective, tinted and laminated.

The handsome Dome'l doors are finding positive acceptance in condominiums, apartment houses and resort hotels around the country. The Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut boasts over 600 of them, and they can be found in New York's famous Carlyle Hotel and Trump Place at Riverside Blvd., The Sexton and the Habitat Corporation Suites in Chicago, the five-star Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, D.C., the Watermark Hotel in San Antonio, Texas, Starrett at Spring Creek, One Hanson Place in Brooklyn, New York, the Excelsior & Grand in St. Louis Park, MN, the Westin in Arlington, VA, among many others. Architects and building engineers have found that the well-sealed doors not only protect residents, hotel guests and office workers from violent storms; these doors also minimize city street noise as well, making for a more peaceful and desirable interior.

At its New Jersey headquarters, Dome'l provides the customer with an exceptional product that ensures comfort and security in almost any weather condition. "Dome'l products are built to spec and they combine outstanding quality with an affordable price to provide the best value in the market," adds John Morse, Vice President of Dome'l.
