Watson-Marlow Bredel Launches 520 Series High-Pressure Chemical Metering Pump

New 520RE Ideal for Harsh Processing Applications up to 100 psi

Watson-Marlow Bredel, the leading manufacturer of peristaltic pumps, launches the 520RE high-pressure chemical metering peristaltic pump with pressure capabilities up to 100psi. The combination of tube elements and pumphead design allows the 520RE to be utilized in applications requiring accurate metering, dosing and transferring of harsh chemicals, including sodium hypochlorite, ferric chloride, sodium bisulfite, fluoride, carbon and lime slurries, polymers, aqueous ammonia, potassium permanganate and caustic slurries.

The new 520RE pump is available with Watson-Marlow Bredel's standard five-year warranty, offered on its 520, 620 and 720 series peristaltic pumps used in industrial applications. The new warranty, the first of its kind from a peristaltic pump manufacturer, covers everything except misuse of the pump and consumable items by the consumer and offers free-of-charge repair or replacement.

The 520 Series pump offers flows of 55 GPH at 30 psi to 7 GPH at 100 psi. Reliable, accurate and easy to use, the pump covers a wide range of applications including low shear feed for the contamination-free transfer of acids, bases and slurries found in chemical-based industries.

Patented LoadSure(TM) elements guarantee correct loading every time, as well as easy one-minute maintenance with no snaking, twisting or pinching.

Watson-Marlow Bredel pumps contain fluids within the tube at all times, never allowing the fluids to come into contact with the pump mechanism ensuring gentle, low shear handling of the fluid. Entrained gas is pumped with ease, plus corrosion and damage is restricted to the consumable tubing element. This helps provide predictable life costs for the pump, as the tube is the only part that will need replacing.

Every Watson-Marlow Bredel peristaltic pump is an inherent metering pump with repeatability at 99.5%. Many models include integral digital drives and displays in washdown enclosures.

These self-priming pumps accommodate flow rates from 0.1 microliter to 350 gpm and are extremely durable, withstanding pressures up to 232 psi. There are no internal universal joints, valves, dead corners or glands to impede flow and these pumps are reversible for back flushing lines. They can also run dry indefinitely without damage and provide up to a 30' suction lift.
