Advanced Machine & Engineering Co. (AME) Rockford, IL announces the availability of the Triag Micro Clamp used for dedicated fixtures. Dowel pins or precision dowel screws provide precise positioning of the vise modules. The Triag Micro Clamps have a high workpiece density per given machine envelope and deliver 900-4600 pounds of clamping force. They are extremely small, yet powerful modules with a low profile. Flexibility is provided through smooth or serrated, hardened and ground jaws or soft jaws. Parallels, locating stops and a variety of other accessories are also available.
As an example, AME recently produced a series of needle sharpening devices for the medical industry, utilizing these Triag Micro Clamping vise modules. The needles sharpened by the AME customer are used for spinal taps and other extremely high-precision procedures.
