July 10, 2008 - Available with positions ranging from 2-12, KJ Series DIP Switch has electrical ratings of 25 mA at 24 Vdc for switch and 100 mA at 24 Vdc for carry. Featuring electrical life of 2,000 typical with contact resistance of less than 25 mW initial, unit has actuation force of 600 gF max, actuator travel of 0.90 mm, dielectric strength of 500 Vrms min with insulation resistance of greater than 100 MW min, extended actuator height of 0.6 mm, and operating/storage temperature of -40 to 85°C.

Minneapolis, Minnesota - CIT RELAY & SWITCH announces immediate availability of the KJ Series DIP Switch. Offering both extended and recessed actuators, this surface mount DIP offers positions ranging from 2 to 12. The KJ Series is compatible with SMT assembly and infrared reflow & vapor phase soldering. Packaging options on the KJ series are tape and reel or tube. Top tape seal, which withstands high pressure aqueous cleaning, is offered with the recessed actuator. The extended actuator height is 0.6mm.

Electrical ratings of the KJ series is 25mA @ 24VDC for the switch and 100mA @ 24VDC for the carry. Tested electrical life of the KJ Series is 2,000 typical with contact resistance of less than 25mW initial. Actuation force is 600gF max and actuator travel is 0.90mm. The dielectric strength is 500Vrms minimum with insulation resistance of greater than 100MW minimum. Operating and storage temperature is -40°C to 85°C. Actuator material is 6T nylon, UL94V-0, white with cover and housing of 6T nylon, UL94V-0, black. The contacts are gold over nickel plated beryllium copper with gold over nickel plated brass terminals.
