Pipe Electroplating System for Utility-Scale Solar Systems

A new, continuous process system that precisely electroplates specialty coatings onto solar thermal power piping to optimize heat absorption is being introduced by METFAB Technologies, Inc. of Warwick, Rhode Island.

The METFAB Solar Pipe Electroplating System precisely applies a metallic coating from 10 to 100 micro-inches to the surface of utility-scale solar thermal power pipe and tube which enhances their ability to absorb heat. Developed for companies who design and construct solar power plants, this fully automatic system can operate at continuous speeds up to 30 FPM.

Suitable for processing tube and pipe from 1" to 3" O.D. and sheet up to 12" wide, the METFAB Solar Pipe Electroplating System can apply specialty metallic coatings onto a wide range of steels and alloys. Engineered and built to customer requirements, this fully integrated aqueous process system includes all controls, electronics, hardware, and tanks.

METFAB Solar Pipe Electroplating Systems are priced from $450,000.00 up, according to customer requirements. Literature and price quotations are available upon request.
