Workholding System is designed for Kurt 8 in. vises.

July 3, 2008 - Capable of holding 5 or 8 parts in single clamping, Hydramax(TM) Workholding System features common channel that equalizes pressure against all of individual pistons, so equal pressure is applied to all parts. Users can load parts and single stroke of vise handle provides independent clamping of each piston. Featuring aluminum jaw for quick pocket machining, system utilizes hydraulic pressure for clamping, eliminating need for any hydraulic connections to make.

KurtŪ Introduces the Hydramax(TM) Workholding System for Kurt 8 Inch Vises

Holds 5 Or 8 Parts In A Single Clamping. Expands the Line To Include Models For Popular 4, 6 and 8 Inch Kurt Vises.

Minneapolis, Minnesota: Kurt announces introduction of the Hydramax Workholding System for Kurt 8 inch vises capable of holding 5 or 8 parts in a single clamping. This expands the Hydramax line to include systems for the widely used 4, 6 and 8 inch Kurt vises.

Ideal for enhancing the capabilities 4, 6 and 8 inch Kurt vises, these Hydramax Workholding Systems replace standard jaw plates with a jaw setup in models with 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 pistons. Independent pistons provide consistent clamping for holding multiple parts, irregularly shaped parts, castings and various size parts in one clamping. Aluminum jaw allows quick pocket machining.

The patented system features a common channel that equalizes pressure against all of the individual pistons so equal pressure is applied to all parts. Operation is fast and easy. Simply load parts and a single stroke of the vise handle provides independent clamping of each piston. The system utilizes hydraulic pressure for clamping although there are no hydraulic connections to make.

Setup is fast and easy. Changeover from standard jaws to Hydramax Jaws takes only a few minutes. Once Hydramax systems are installed changeover to new setups takes less than a minute.

In addition to a full line of standard vises and accessories, Kurt provides integrated custom engineered workholding systems and custom gaging systems for automated manufacturing. Both workholding and gaging are designed around a customer's requirements with systems available for many industries including automotive, medical, can manufacturing and aerospace applications.
