PRICE Systems Improves Workforce Productivity with the Release of TruePlanning 2008
New Release Assures More Accurate and Faster Processing, Enabling Confidence in a Project's Success
MT. LAUREL, N.J., June 24 / -- The latest release of TruePlanning by PRICE Systems (http://www.pricesystems.com/) called TruePlanning 2008 was announced today. TruePlanning 2008 provides new upgrades to usability, significant enhancements to the Common Estimating Framework, and overall improvements to the Systems, Software, IT, Hardware and COCOMO estimation capabilities.
TruePlanning 2008 is a complete and robust suite of integrated cost models and benchmarks, along with powerful, fast knowledge management. It enables the cost, schedule, and risk management estimation and analysis of both product and IT system lifecycles. The key features of the TruePlanning 2008 release are:
o Speed -- With several critical architectural changes, the performance of TruePlanning 2008 is now, at minimum, 10 times faster in all facets of processing and computations.
o Planning and Managing Project Schedules:
o Gantt View -- The analysis and display of integrated schedules can
now be made in a graphical format.
o Milestones -- This new feature enables customers to anchor their
hardware project schedules based on the expected delivery of their
first production or prototype unit.
o Schedule Constraints Capabilities -- Impact determination on the
amount of work required for projects and cost estimates can now be
made with scheduling adjustments.
o Tabular View Schedule -- As a newly advanced feature, it is now
easier to compress or stretch any project schedule, according to
organizational needs, and adjust it by setting activity start and
end dates.
o Productivity:
o Productivity Enhancement through Integration -- With this release,
customers can import Bill of Materials from a MRP system, import
directly from an ERP system, and import requirements data.
o Integration with Microsoft Excel -- Quick and seamless automatic
importing of activity, resource, and cost information and escalation
data is now enabled with this release. Customized reports can now be
created as well.
o Integration with Microsoft Project -- With this new connection,
project data and cost estimation can be performed on a
bi-directional basis. Scheduling information can be customized
throughout the lifecycle of a project.
In addition, considerable upgrades, improvements, and new development capabilities affecting Systems, Software, IT, and Hardware estimation are now available in the TruePlanning 2008 release.
