Bridge Rectifiers provide current ratings of 10-25 A.
June 23, 2008 -
Featuring maximum peak reverse voltage ratings of 600-1,000 V, PowerBridge(TM) rectifiers have thermal construction that allows heat to dissipate efficiently and require only small heat sink. Units are suited for ac-to-dc rectification in switchmode power supplies for desktop PCs, servers, and audio/video systems for notebook PCs and monitors, power inverters in home appliances, and primary rectification circuits for switchmode power supplies in telecommunication systems.

Vishay Releases New Enhanced 10-A to 25-A PowerBridge(TM) Rectifier Series with 600-V to 1000-V VRRM
Space-Saving Devices Offer More Efficient Performance Than Larger Bridge Products While Reducing Need for Heat Sinks
MALVERN, PENNSYLVANIA - May 28, 2008 - Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced a new series of enhanced high-current-density PowerBridge(TM) rectifiers with current ratings of 10A to 25A and maximum peak reverse voltage ratings of 600V to 1000V.
Compared to larger-size bridge rectifiers on the market, the advanced thermal construction of the PowerBridge devices allows heat to dissipate more efficiently. The PowerBridge rectifiers are thus able to provide the same power ratings as larger packages while requiring smaller heat sinks.
The single-phase rectifiers are an optimal bridge package choice for ac-to-dc rectification in switchmode power supplies for desktop PCs, servers, PDP TVs, LCD TVs, audio/video systems, and adaptors for notebook PCs and monitors; power inverters in home appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, and induction heater systems; and primary rectification circuits for switchmode power supplies in telecommunication systems.
For OEM vendors, the new devices offer compatible package, lead pitch, and pin layouts to conventional GBU packages. This saves time by allowing the same PCB layout to be used for a wide range of bridge rectifier voltage and current ratings. For manual soldering, a +260°C, 40-second solder dipping process enables high reliability.
Samples and production quantities of the new PowerBridge rectifiers are available now, with lead times of six weeks for large orders. Pricing for U.S. delivery depends on power rating and quantity and is available on request from Vishay.
