WideBand Solutions Introduces Its New SimphoniX Auto-Mixer, Si-40, at InfoComm 2008

LAS VEGAS, NV - JUNE 11, 2008 - WideBand Solutions, a leading provider of high-end audio conferencing technology, introduces SimphoniX Si-40 Auto-Mixer at InfoComm 2008 (Booth C4540), its newest offering in its best-selling SimphoniX line of professional audio conferencing products. The Si-40 is the first truly automatic mixer that is able to adapt to its environment through Wideband's sophisticated auto-mixing algorithm. The Si-40 is also designed to expand WideBand's Si-400 system by up to 32 microphones, without the need for additional control units.

WideBand's SimphoniX Si-40 functions as an auto mixer with digital signal processing designed to lower noise and automatically balance levels. The Si-40 is able to tell the difference between noise and speech, while also auto-adjusting its settings to accommodate to changing acoustical environments, which can be caused by humidity, heating, the number of people in the room as well as furniture configuration changes.

Each Si-40 features four mic/line inputs and has two additional line level inputs. To expand and support additional microphones, only one DSP control unit, WideBand's Si-400, is needed and multiple Si-40's can be linked together. This is a cost-effective solution to accommodate large conference room applications. The major advantage of this configuration is that users don't have to purchase multiple DSP control units to accommodate additional microphone inputs.

The Si-40 also offers Noise Cancellation and Automatic Gain Control available on a per channel basis, a feature that is typically reserved for high-cost teleconferencing mixers. The Si-40 enables users to monitor the performance of the unit, by retrieving real time information on input and output signals, to ensure that all channels are properly balanced and performing as expected. The system can be remotely managed and locally controlled in deployments where performance management is critical.

"At WideBand Solutions we continually look at ways of enhancing our product lines, in terms of offering the highest quality performance at a reasonable price point," says Lonny Bowers, president of WideBand Solutions. "Creating a mic expansion system that effortlessly and cost-effectively enhances our Si-400 audio conferencing solution was a natural next step for us."

WideBand Solutions' SimphoniX Si-400 is designed with hardware and speech algorithms that accommodate the full range of human hearing - delivering clean, loud and clear audio. It is a high-quality conferencing system that is compatible with hundreds of digital and VoIP phones. Additionally, the SimphoniX Si-400 functions as a stand alone solution or can be easily integrated into a larger, existing system. Features include, Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC); noise reduction; auto-mixing with Voice Activity Detection (VAD); Digital, VoIP and Analog Phone Lines; Cross Point Automatic Gain Control (AGC); Web Management and Voice Reinforcement.
