CIS Brings GigE Vision into Its Lineup with Two New 5 Megapixel Cameras
BOSTON, June 10 / -- CIS Americas, Inc., a leading supplier of industrial-grade machine vision cameras, has announced its first GigE Vision(TM) products -- offering a combination of low-cost, flexibility and performance previously unavailable in any CIS camera.
The two new cameras -- the color VCC-F60FV19GE and monochrome VCC-G60FV11GE -- both sport 5-megapixel CCD sensors. With the GigE Vision standard, the cameras can deliver up to 15 frames per second at full resolution.
GigE Vision is a camera interface standard based on the gigabit Ethernet communication protocol. It allows for fast image transfer using low-cost standard cables, even over long lengths.
"These cameras extend our tradition of developing innovative image transmission solutions that meet the requirements of the most demanding customers and markets," says Jeremy Hubbell, general manager of CIS Americas, Inc. "With the F60 and G60 GigE products, we have the industry's broadest range of high-quality, high-performance machine vision products."
The monochrome VCC-G60 output is 8 or 10-bit monochrome, and the color VCC-F60 device outputs 8 or 10-bit RAW. Both cameras have a compact housing and rugged design that allows manufacturers and businesses to install the devices in a variety of applications.
All CIS cameras are developed with an unwavering devotion to quality. Each is tested individually to ensure reliable and accurate performance in demanding 24/7 machine vision environments, such as semiconductor manufacturing plants, assembly lines and industrial robotics systems.
The two new GigE Vision-based cameras will be available in the third quarter of 2008 through the CIS Americas distribution network.
