June 16, 2008 - Suited for fiber optic network maintenance, equipment research and development, GAO800 Optical Power Meter can test optical fiber power loss, continuity, and evaluate line transmission quality. It features storage and page up/down functions, adapters supporting FC, ST, and SC ports, 100 groups of memory and record management, auto shut off, and LCD with backlit display. Functions include relative power test in unit of dB, multi-wavelengths test, and absolute power test in units of dBm/µW.

Toronto, ON - GAO Fiber Optics, a member company of GAO Group, has released a new Optical Power Meter. The GAO800 Optical Power Meter is a new generation of high-performance optical network test meters featuring excellent performance and fast field testing. The meter implements the latest laser exploration and processing technology. This competitively priced optical power meter is aimed for optical network maintenance, equipment research and development.

With four wavelengths of 850nm, 980nm, 1310nm and 1550nm it can be used for both linearity and non-linearity tests. The device also has storage and page up/down functions for test results. The GAO800 optical meter enjoys a large LCD screen and is small, light and easy to carry. The optical meter can test optical fiber power loss, continuity, and evaluate the line transmission quality. It is an essential instrument for the implementation and maintenance of fiber optic network projects.
