Analog Proximity Switches offer 0-4 mm sensing range.

June 16, 2008 - Available in 8 x 8 x 50 mm compact rectangular housing, Series 509 C8 inductive analog proximity switches provide temperature stability between -25 and +70°C. They are available with output voltage ranges of 0-5 V or 0-10 V, and are based on non-linearized transfer function.

New Rectangular Inductive Analog Proximity Switches with 4 mm Sensing Range Provide Greater Sensing Distances in More Compact Installations

New Series 509 C8 analog sensors with a compact rectangular housing of 8 x 8 x 50 mm are distinguished by their unusually large sensing range from 0 to 4 mm, their excellent temperature stability between -25°C and +70°C, and their outstanding repeat accuracy.

The distances achieved using these devices are far in excess of those achieved with conventional standard sensors. In order to obtain similar detection values, a model with a diameter of at least M18 would have to be used. In addition, since intermediate digitization has been done away with, the resolution of the Contrinex devices is virtually unlimited.

The use of analog sensor technology is ideal for numerous applications such as the regulated approach to end positions at minimum cost, the realization of several switch points with a single device, monitoring concentricity or the detection of vibrations.

Contrinex M8 analog sensors are available with output voltage ranges of 0 - 5 V or 0 - 10 V. As a result of the non-linearized transfer function, the Contrinex devices are inexpensive but nevertheless efficient.

CONTRINEX has manufactured inductive and photoelectric proximity switches since 1972. It specializes exclusively in the development, manufacture and sales of positioning sensors and accessories for industrial use. All departments and management levels in the company's management system are ISO 9001:2000 certified.
