Digital Cameras offer resolution in range of UXGA to QSXGA.

June 17, 2008 - Featuring Power over Camera Link (PoCL) technology to allow transfer of image data, power, and control signals on single cable, CleverDragon(TM) Model CSCU30CC18 utilizes 1/1.8 in. CCD that delivers non-interlace 30 fps video with active pixels of 1,628 x 1,236 resolution, while CSCQS9CC23 has 2/3 in. CCD for 2,456 x 2,058 resolution at 9 fps. Similar to CSCQS9CC23, CSCQS15CC23 does not have PoCL feature and has sensitivity of 2,250 lux at F8.

Toshiba Teli Adds Color Models to CleverDragon(TM) Machine Vision Camera Product Line

IRVINE, CA, May 21, 2008 - Recognizing the growing importance of color image acquisition in machine vision applications, Toshiba Teli America, Inc. announced today it has expanded its acclaimed CleverDragon(TM) suite of Camera Link digital cameras to include three high-speed color models.

Offered in a resolution range of UXGA to QSXGA, the new cameras are ideal solutions to a variety of quality-sensitive applications where flexibility, performance and reliability cannot be compromised, such as color verification, color sorting and color inspection. Featured on two models is Power over Camera Link (PoCL) technology to allow transfer of image data, power, and control signals on a single cable. Plus, the all-pixel-readout CCD enable a maximum acquisition of five-megapixel 12bit color images (2456 x 2058) at speeds up to 15fps (UXGA), or faster when in partial scan mode. Color can be output as RGB 24bit or RAW 12, 10 or 8bit images.

To free the integrator from space restrictions, camera bodies are compact and lightweight, measuring either 54mm (H) x 43mm (W) x 59mm (D) or 54mm (H) x 43mm (W) x 69mm (D), depending on the model. Their robust built-in shock- and vibration-resistance assures optimal performance in demanding industrial settings. In addition, the Camera Link digital interface allows for hassle-free connection to other equipment, along with simple software control of camera settings such as gain, shutter speed and mode selection.

The three new cameras are:
o CSCU30CC18: This model utilizes a 1/1.8-inch CCD that delivers non-interlace 30 fps video with active pixels of 1628 x 1236 resolution. Full frame electronic shutter with internal sync permits shutter speeds from 1/30 to 1/71500 sec. Square 4.4µm pixels have precise geometry for excellent image definition while standard sensitivity of 2000 lux @ F8 makes the CSCU30CC18 a superior choice for high-speed capture. It has PoCL to allow easier integration with fewer cables.

o CSCQS9CC23: Easy to set up and practical, the CSCQS9CC23 has a 2/3-inch CCD for ultra-sharp 2456 x 2058 resolution @ 9 fps, along with PoCL and shutter speeds of 2 to 1/20,000 sec. Standard sensitivity is 2700 lux @ F11.

o CSCQS15CC23: Similar to the CSCQS9CC23, this model does not feature PoCL capabilities and has higher sensitivity of 2250 lux @ F8.

Toshiba Teli CleverDragon cameras are manufactured in compliance with the European RoHS directive, which prohibits the use of hazardous substances.
