DC-DC Converters suit unregulated input voltage applications.
June 2, 2008 -
Featuring -40 to 85ºC operating temperature range, 2 W AM2GW-NZ series of ultra wide input (4:1) dc-dc switching power supplies offer continuous short circuit protection and remote on/off control. They come in input ranges of 9-36 V and 18-72 V with I/O isolation of 1,500 Vdc within compact SIP9 package. With output currents of up to 500 mA delivered to regulated output voltage range of 3-15 V, at efficiency rates of up to 82%, units are designed for portable power management applications.
Compact, Ultra Wide Input (4:1), 2W DC- DC Converters for Unregulated Input Voltage Applications
Aimtec, a global supplier of DC-DC power converters, continues to build upon its low output power AMxG-Z series with the new 2 watt AM2GW-NZ series of ultra wide input (4:1) DC-DC switching power supplies with operating temperature range of -40ºC to + 85ºC.
Versatile, single and dual output modules are available in input ranges of 9-36V and 18-72V with I/O isolation of 1500VDC within a compact SIP9 package, making this converter an ideal drop-in replacement for existing designs.
With output currents of up to 500mA delivered to a regulated output voltage range of 3 to 15V, at high efficiency rates of up to 82%, the AM2GW-NZ series is ideally suited for portable power management applications, in addition to other telecom, microcontroller, DSPs industrial process systems, remote or battery backed systems, test/lab instrumentation, robotic systems and board level power distribution subsystems, datacom and transportation equipment applications where loosely regulated input voltages are present.
As with the AM1G-Z , AM2G-Z , and AM3G-NZ series, Aimtec's AM2GW-NZ series features many functional advantages, including continuous short circuit protection and remote on/off control. Designed to allow the output voltage to shut-off without shutting down the input voltage, the remote ON/OFF function in Aimtec's AM2GW-NZ series supports applications where conservation of the device's power consumption is required and/or there is a need for the power supplies to switch ON and OFF according to a specific algorithm.
Made with high quality, RoHS compliant materials that undergo rigorous quality control to ensure reliability and performance.
