HayssenSandiacre Launches Rose Forgrove Athena Product Line

DUNCAN, S.C. - May 27, 2008 - HayssenSandiacre, a form/fill/seal technologies and
services leader for more than 100 years, continues a long history of producing top-quality flow wrapping machinery by announcing the launch of its newest model flow wrapping machine, the Rose Forgrove "Athena." The Athena will complement the company's existing Merlin and Minerva range of machines and is its most flexible flow wrapper to date.

The Athena has been developed in both PC and PLC control system architecture with simple, graphic-style touch-screen Human Machine Interfaces. With its multi-servo axis drives, this machine is capable of wrapping products in a variety of heat and cold seal materials at speeds from 5 to 300 per minute. The Athena's robust frame allows this machine to accept features necessary for nonstop production. It is capable of hosting twin splicing reel gear, fully automated in-line feeding conveyors and automated reject stations.

These features allow the Athena to receive products from continuous or intermittent supply systems and run for hours without operator intervention. Interest in the new model is high, with several advance orders from major food and hygiene companies in both Europe and North America.
