May 28, 2008 - Suited for packaging and printing industries, WF Next line has more than 40 fork sensors of different widths and depths to fit any application. Line includes fork widths of 2, 4, 15, 30, 50, 80, and 120 mm with fork depths of 40, 60, and 95 mm. Sensors feature PNP or NPN wiring configurations with quick disconnect 4-pin M8 connector for installation. Manual adjustment and teach-in models are available.

SICK Launches New Fork Sensors for Label Detection in Packaging and Printing Industries


Minneapolis, Minn., - May 21, 2008. SICK (www.sickusa.com), one of the world's leading manufacturers of sensors, safety systems and automatic identification products for factory and logistics automation, today announced the launch of its WF Next line of optical fork sensors. The WF Next line includes more than 40 new fork sensors with a huge selection of fork widths and depths to fit any application. These new sensors augment our extensive line of contrast, luminescent and color sensors specifically designed for label detection in the packaging and printing industries.

This easy-to-use sensor line includes fork widths of 2 mm, 4 mm, 15 mm, 30 mm, 50 mm, 80 mm and 120 mm with fork depths of 40 mm, 60 mm and 95 mm to solve most tough applications. All sensors feature PNP or NPN wiring configurations with a quick disconnect 4-pin M8 connector for ease of installation. A full compliment of manual adjustment and teach-in models is available.
