Automation Products Group Introduces PT-400 Pressure Transducers for Industrial and Hazardous Applications

Cost effective and durable solution in applications requiring high accuracy and reliability over wide range of pressures

LOGAN, UT - Automation Products Group, Inc. (APG) introduces PT-400 Amplified Output Pressure Transducers. PT-400 pressure transmitters provide a minimum of 10 million operating cycles with high accuracy of ±0.25% F.S. (B.F.S.L.), in operating temperatures from -40 to 180°F. Additionally, these sensors cover pressures ranging from 0 up to 20,000 psi, along with high burst pressure to 3x full scale (limited by the process connection) and overpressure to 2x full scale for in-process reliability. The PT-400 is designed for demanding applications in oil drilling, water and wastewater industries as well as for general use in other industries.

PT-400 pressure transducers weigh just 10 oz. (283 g) and offer standard 4-20mA, 0-5 VDC and 0-10 VDC outputs. Their integrated electronics are fully enclosed inside an all-welded stainless steel housing with a ¼-18 NPTM fitting is standard. Even with the rugged stainless steel housing, users still have access to zero and span adjustments for calibration to specific application requirements. Their rugged construction and performance attributes make them well suited for static and dynamic pressure measurement where an amplified output signal is desired. A number of options, including extended temperature compensation, higher accuracy ratings and alternate process fittings, among others, are available.

The transmitters are cCSAus certified for use in Hazardous locations. Units with 0-5 VDC, 0-10 VDC and 4-20 mA outputs are rated for Class I, Div. 2, Groups C and D, and Class I, Zone 2, Group IIB hazardous locations. In addition, units with 4-20 mA output are rated for cCSAus certified for use in Class I, Div. 1, Groups C and D, and Class I, Zone 0, Group IIB hazardous locations.
