Bag Filling System has poly/paper bag sealing capability.
May 7, 2008 -
Available in single-spout OmniStar or dual-spout UltraStar system, Star Series bag filling system combines all filling operations for poly and paper bags including bag setup, filling, weighing, and sealing into single system. It precisely controls bag position through independent, servodriven upper and lower drive systems, and servo speed controls are accessed and adjusted via 12 in. PanelView(TM) HMI screen. Unit has maintenance reminder alert system and fault history log.
Thiele Technologies Introduces Bagging System Enhancements
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - May 1, 2008 - Thiele Technologies, a leader in packaging technology and equipment, has responded to a customer-defined marketplace need by developing enhancements to its Star Series bag filling system. In addition to its industry-leading poly woven bag handling capabilities, Thiele's Star Series now
combines all filling operations for poly and paper bags-bag setup, filling, weighing and sealing-into one system.
In many bag filling systems, variations in line speed between the bag filling and sealing areas can cause filled bags to twist or lean, creating an uneven or skewed seal.
Thiele has addressed this issue in its Star Series bag filling system by incorporating integrated poly and paper bag sealing capability. This design precisely controls bag position through independent, servodriven upper and lower drive systems. Servo speed controls are easily accessed and adjusted via a 12" color Allen-Bradley PanelView(TM) human-machine interface (HMI) screen.
Additionally, Thiele has integrated the control system for its popular series of net-weigh scales into the programmable logic controller (PLC) of the bag hanging system, allowing operators to control the scales from the system's HMI screen and eliminating
the need for a second HMI dedicated only to the scale.
Finally, because real-time system information is critical to system performance and throughput, Thiele has developed a maintenance reminder alert system and a fault history log for its bag filling systems. Operators can easily access system-critical operational and maintenance information, increasing machine uptime and maximizing productivity.
Since introducing the Star Series in 1993, Thiele has installed more than 200 of the systems across a diverse array of industries, including pet food, fertilizer, sugar, salt and animal feed.
Thiele's Star Series is available in a single-spout OmniStar system or a dual-spout UltraStar system. Sealing stations can be added and configured according to each customer's individual need.
