QuickSwitch Model 6261 8-Strand LC Simplex Fiber Optic Mirror A/B Switch has capability of sharing 8 fiber optic LC strands connected to common port among 2 other sets of 8 strands connected to A and B ports. All switched signals are passed via mirror relays that maintain their position and continuity, even in event of power loss. Switch position can be controlled from 10 Base-T LAN Ethernet environment or from front panel pushbutton, which can be locked out using RS-232 Telnet commands.
M6261 8-Strand Single Mode Fiber Optic Mirror A/B Switch
Electro Standards Laboratories (ESL), Cranston, RI, has just announced its new QuickSwitch Model 6261 8-Strand LC Simplex Fiber Optic Mirror A/B Switch. This switch has the capability of sharing 8 Fiber Optic LC Strands connected to the COMMON port among two other sets of 8 strands connected to the "A" and "B" ports.
Model 6261 is unique because it supports Single Mode Fiber Optic wavelength of 1310 nm and gigabit data rates. All switched signals are passed via mirror relays that maintain their position and continuity even in the event of power loss.
Control of Model 6261 switch position is from a 10 Base-T LAN Ethernet environment or, alternately, the front panel pushbutton. Front panel pushbutton may be locked out using RS-232 Telnet commands.
