Panasonic Enhances i-Pro Network Product Line with New Megapixel Camera Introductions at ISC West 2008
Advanced Feature Sets Herald New Class Of Megapixel Solutions.
Las Vegas, NV (April 2, 2008) - Panasonic Security Systems, a division of Panasonic System Solutions Company, has added to its industry leading line of i-Pro network video systems products with the introduction of two new megapixel IP cameras at ISC West this year. The new cameras deliver HD quality images for a variety of security and business applications where high resolution images are required, and volumes of video data necessary for advanced analytics middleware.
"Panasonic's new i-Pro megapixel IP cameras incorporate features and capabilities typically available in best-in-breed analog cameras," said Julianna Benedick, Group Manager of Marketing, Panasonic System Solutions Company (PSSA). "These new Panasonic megapixel solutions bring a new level of camera functionality and application versatility to a networked platform."
These new megapixel cameras incorporate Panasonic's core imaging technology to provide superior picture quality in the most demanding applications.
Panasonic's i-Pro WV-NF302 Ruggedized Megapixel Day/Night Fixed Dome Network Camera offers intelligent networking features which include automatically adjustable image compression to conserve bandwidth and deliver higher quality images in alarm mode, a built-in network interface (10Base-T / 100Base-TX), and Power over Ethernet (PoE).
Additionally, the camera features a 1280 x 960 megapixel image sensor with MPEG-4/JPEG digital output at a VGA image size up to 30 ips and with dual streaming capabilities. The unobtrusive design of this high-performance dome camera is complemented by a rugged heavy duty metal body for demanding installation applications. Other performance features include: a 10mm vari-focal lens with up to 4x digital zoom; built-in video motion detection (VMD); progressive output for clear moving images without tearing; 1.5 lux at F1.3 sensitivity; Adaptive Black Stretch (ABS) to enhance the visibility of dark areas without compromising the bright area in the same scene; RGB filter for superior color reproduction; focus assist with automatic on-screen focus adjustment for optimal focus; indoor/outdoor selectable light control modes and SD memory card slot for backup recording due to network failure. In addition to its impressive image quality and features, the WV-NF302 is designed for ease of installation with an analog monitor output for quick verification of camera adjustments; a three-way hinge with horizontal, vertical and swivel rotation adjustments; and options for surface and embedded mounting, as well as mounting in a standard electrical junction box.
For general purpose applications, Panasonic's new i-Pro WV-NP304 Megapixel Day/Night Network Camera delivers the same levels of performance and connectivity as the i-Pro WV-NF302 dome network camera, including ABS, progressive output, focus assist, RGB filter, VMD, SD memory card slot and PoE. The camera's impressive Day/Night performance is accentuated by user-selectable light control features that assure the best image clarity in changing lighting conditions and/or different camera locations.
"Panasonic is continuing to pursue new developments in megapixel imaging that deliver exceptional performance specifically with the security market in mind," said Ms. Benedick. "These new cameras provide feature sets that will greatly expand the applications for megapixel IP video surveillance cameras."
