Designed for bridge repair work and elevated highway renovations, gantry cranes can span over open lanes across whole bridge if necessary, and their legs can ride on edges of bridge to move forward as construction progresses. Available in spans to 150 ft and capacities to 150 tons, cranes come with trolleys and end trucks, and can be custom-engineered for outdoor conditions. Units adhere to CMAA, ANSI, UBC, AISC, and OSHA codes and safety requirements.

Made-to-order gantry cranes specially designed for bridge repair work and elevated highway renovations are now available from North American Industries, Inc. of Woburn, Massachusetts. The gantry cranes can span over open lanes across the whole bridge if necessary, and their "legs" can ride on edges of the bridge allowing the crane to move forward easily as construction progresses further. North American Industries can even design the cranes with adjustable spans so that the contractor can use it for several bridge projects.
