March 17, 2008 - Designed for modulated-signal test procedures, TGR RF Generators offer high frequency accuracy, wide dynamic range, low phase noise/leakage, and flexible modulation capabilities. Model TGR2050 covers 150 kHz to 2 GHz in 10 Hz steps, and incorporates AM, FM, and phase modulation capabilities, while Model TGR1040 covers 10 MHz to 1 GHz in 1 kHz steps, and incorporates FM modulation only. Both can be operated using numeric/rotary controls, and can also be remotely controlled.

Pittsford, NY: TGR Synthesized RF Generators are economical, easy to use, versatile signal sources designed specifically for a wide range of test, service, and development applications. TGR RF Generators offer high frequency accuracy and stability, wide dynamic range, low phase noise and leakage, with flexible modulation capabilities, making them suitable for most tasks up to 1-2GHz. TGR2050 covers 150kHz to 2GHz in 10Hz steps, and incorporates AM, FM, and phase modulation capabilities; TGR1040 covers 10MHz to 1GHz in 1KHz steps, and incorporates FM modulation only (internal and external). Both TGR1040 and TGR2050 can be conveniently operated using numeric or rotary controls, with nine memory settings for user set-ups, but can also be remotely controlled via a standard GPIB or serial interface,.

TGR RF Generators set a new price standard for high performance RF test sources. Frequency steps can be set to any value (to 1kHz for TGS1040 and 10Hz for TGS2050) and up/down stepping makes precise amplitude response measurements particularly easy. The backlit 4-line LCD shows all major signal parameters simultaneously. Signal output can be stepped from 0.1uV to 500mV into 50ohm with 0.01uV resolution for evaluating circuit linearity and dynamic range. Meticulous internal screening ensures very low output leakage, enabling accurate low level measurements in sensitive receiver circuits.

An optional rackmount kit for TGR RF Generators is also available. Wide modulation range and extremely low distortion make the TGR series suitable for most modulated-signal test procedures, at a price much lower than most other premium RF generators. In addition to TGR's low cost, its ease of use and remote control capabilities make it eminently suitable for most production and development applications requiring a high quality, stable signal source.
