CADWELD® PLUS MULTI Simplifies the Exothermic Welding Process

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - SOLON, Ohio, USA, March 2008 - CADWELD® PLUS MULTI simplifies the exothermic welding process by combining a versatile mold block and a range of gaskets (batting) into a complete welding system. With just one CADWELD PLUS MULTI universal mold, a user can make over 30 separate connection types, and each weld is complete in about one minute.

CADWELD PLUS MULTI is the latest advancement in the continuing evolution of ERICO®'s exothermic products. This revolutionary system is a simplified method of performing exothermically welded electrical connections. The CADWELD PLUS MULTI integrated weld metal package has streamlined the installation process by eliminating ignition materials - reducing set up time.

This patented, all-in-one system features a compact compression structure to enable easier alignment of the conductors and a self-sealing design to prevent weld metal leakage. The permanent molecular bonds that are created with the CADWELD PLUS MULTI will not loosen or corrode, can withstand repeated fault currents and offer a current-carrying capacity that is equal to that of the conductor. This helps to ensure that any grounding system that utilizes these connections will operate as a continuous conductor with lower resistivity.

This process requires minimal training and produces an unlimited variety of connections. CADWELD PLUS MULTI is housed in a lightweight kit for easy transportation and features a pictorial instruction guide. This easy-to-use system also satisfies the requirements of BS 6651,
NFC 15-100, IEEE 837-1987, IEEE 80-2000 and IEC 1025-1 (ENV 61024-1).
