Magnetic Gripper handles ferromagnetic workpieces.


March 10, 2008 - Suited for loading and unloading machines and for handling both small and large workpieces, MAGNOS Magnetic Gripper MAU offers 1,675-6,700 lb max holding force. Light weight unit does not require electricity to maintain magnetic field and needs energy only for activation and deactivation. It can be adapted to any robot arm and top tooling can be contoured to any workpiece surface.

SCHUNK introduces its MAGNOS Magnetic Gripper MAU! An ideal solution for loading and unloading machines and for handling both small and large workpieces.

With MAU, handling ferromagnetic workpieces is made easy.

Features
o No Electricity is required to maintain the magnetic field
o Top tooling can be contoured to a workpiece surface
o Momentary power required to cycle on or off
o High holding forces in very limited spaces
o Low weight
o Energy-saving - Only needs energy for activation & deactivation
o Holding force max. 1,675 - 6,700 lb
o Can be easily adapted to any robot arm
o Number of poles is variable, which ensures the maximum degree of
flexibility
o Can be activated in seconds and ensure high holding forces in the
smallest of spaces
