eXpresso(TM) Announces Debut of eXpresso Pro
Subscription-Based Product Signals Full Release of Web's Leading Collaborative Work Environment for Excel Users; Beta Users Receive 30-Day Free Trial
MENLO PARK, Calif., March 3 / -- eXpresso(TM) Corporation, a pioneering provider of online community solutions for businesses, today announced the debut of eXpresso Pro, the full-featured, general availability version of the popular Web-based product. New eXpresso customers will enjoy a free 30-day trial of the breakthrough solution that garnered "Best Of" honors from both PC World and InfoWorld magazines. Current beta users will automatically enjoy a 30-day period of full eXpresso Pro functionality, after which they may either subscribe to Pro or revert to the basic version of eXpresso.
eXpresso, released in beta last summer, uniquely allows users of Microsoft ExcelŽ, the world's most-used spreadsheet application, to upload, distribute and collaborate in real-time on Excel files via the Internet. eXpresso users can not only access their Excel spreadsheets from any PC with an Internet Explorer Web browser, but also authorize others to view or edit the same spreadsheets as needed.
As of March 1, 2008, eXpresso Pro subscribers also enjoy a host of additional features not found in the new "basic" version of eXpresso, including:
o Unlimited Spreadsheet Hosting: Maintain any number of spreadsheet
files online (eXpresso Basic users are limited to five online
spreadsheets);
o Cell Tracking and Audits: Using the "Track Cells" feature, spreadsheet
owners are notified when changes are made, who made the changes, when
they were made, and what the pre- and post-change data values are. A
complete, auditable history of changes is also maintained for
compliance purposes;
o Rollback to Previous Versions: Enables fast recovery or reference to
prior iterations;
o eXpresso Plug-in for Excel: Gives users offline access to their online
spreadsheets from within Excel, including eXpresso's collaborative and
sharing benefits;
o Real-time and Archived Chat: eXpresso's chat feature allows users to
chat in real time from within eXpresso, with all messages archived and
associated to the spreadsheet;
o Assign Editable Cell Regions: Spreadsheet owners can assign specific
"rights" to designated users including "view only," "edit," "copy" and
"download," and change rights at any time;
o Set Alerts for Changes: Owners can receive email notification when
a user takes a particular action on the owners' spreadsheet.
Discounts Available
The new subscription-based, advertising-free eXpresso Pro is priced at $15 per month, or $79 per year, per user. Discounts are available for groups of ten or more users.
"eXpresso has found itself at the center of the Software-as-a-Service business community movement because it facilitates fast, efficient and dependable collaboration.
