Triaxial Accelerometer features single, 5-pin connector.

March 10, 2008 - Measuring 0.28 in. vertically and weighing 2.4 g, Model 3023M20 mounts with adhesive into small spaces. Instrument contains 3 miniature quartz laminar shear mode accelerometer elements mounted to single support and welded into titanium housing. Elements are mounted orthogonally to each other to allow measurment of complete motion of a point. IEPE design incorporates 3 IC amplifiers built into instrument, one for each axis, to lower impedance of quartz seismic elements.

Miniature Triaxial IEPE Accelerometer with Single 5-Pin Connector

Chatsworth, CA (February 29, 2008) - Dytran Instruments, Inc. is pleased to introduce a new miniature triaxial accelerometer that is ideal for use in applications where space is at a premium. The 3023M20 uses the latest in quartz shear technology coupled with 2-wire internal IEPE electronics. Model 3023M20 mounts with adhesives into very small spaces since its vertical dimension is 0.28 in. It weighs only 2.4 grams.

This instrument contains three miniature quartz laminar shear mode accelerometer elements mounted to a single support and welded into a titanium housing. The three elements are mounted orthogonally to each other so that they can measure the complete motion of a point.

The IEPE design means that three miniature IC amplifiers are built into the instrument, one for each axis, to lower the impedance of the quartz seismic elements by many orders of magnitude. This technique allows the driving of long cables without affecting sensitivity and the use of very simple constant current type power units. Priced at $1,050.
