Bobcat Introduces New Line of Compact Tractors

(WEST FARGO, N.D. - February 2008) Bobcat Company, a leader in compact equipment for the past 50 years, introduces a new line of compact tractors. These tractors are designed to help farmers, ranchers, commercial landscapers, groundskeepers, homeowners with acreage and other users tackle a variety of tasks.

Nine models will make up the Bobcat® compact tractor line. The Bobcat CT120, CT122, CT225, CT230 and CT235 are already available at select Bobcat dealerships in the United States and Canada. The four remaining models will be introduced throughout 2008.

The Bobcat compact tractors feature four-wheel drive for traveling over and working in rough terrain, and also come with hydrostatic transmissions for easy operation.

The compact tractors can be used with Bobcat implements, including an angle blade, auger, backhoe, box blade, finish mower, seeder and tine rake, as well as a front-end loader and attachments.

In line with the Bobcat reputation for offering customers durable and reliable equipment, the compact tractors have sleek hoods and side panels made of tough, durable steel. Their design provides superior visibility to the front of the tractors. Standard comfort and safety features include a spark arrestor muffler, horn, brake lights and operator's handbook, as well as an optional Bobcat suspension seat and a fully retractable seat belt. The roll-over protective structure (ROPS) can be folded down to make transportation and storage of the tractor more convenient.

The Bobcat CT120 compact tractor features a 20-horsepower diesel engine and has two travel speed ranges. The CT120 is 46.5 inches wide with agriculture tires, 106 inches long and 81.8 inches high with ROPS deployed and weighs 2,055 pounds.

The CT122 has a 22-horsepower engine and two-speed travel. The CT122 is 46.5 inches wide with agricultural tires, 106 inches long and 81.8 inches tall with the ROPS deployed and weighs 2,055 pounds.

The Bobcat CT225 has a 27-horsepower diesel engine with three travel speeds. The CT225 is 56 inches wide with agricultural tires, 118 inches long and 96 inches high with the ROPS deployed and weighs 3,021 pounds.

The fourth model in the initial launch is the Bobcat CT230. This 30-horsepower compact tractor also has three-speed travel. The CT230 is 56 inches wide with agricultural tires, 118 inches long and 96 inches high with the ROPS deployed and weighs 3,055 pounds.

The CT235 has a 34-horsepower engine and three-speed travel. This tractor is 56 inches wide with agricultural tires, 118 inches wide and 96 inches high with the ROPS deployed and weighs 3,055 pounds.

Fifty years ago, Bobcat Company unleashed a way to work better, smarter, faster. During 2008, the company is celebrating the 50th anniversary of Bobcat compact equipment, which began with the Melroe Self-Propelled Loader - a three-wheeled front-end loader - in 1958. That machine evolved into the Bobcat skid-steer loader and spawned the worldwide compact equipment industry. Today, Bobcat continues to lead the world in the design, manufacture and distribution of compact equipment.
