Suitable for high shock measurements, 3086A Series is designed for drop/shock testing and far field blast testing. Piezoelectric accelerometer weighs only 3.5 g, and features top mounted solder pins/terminals which eliminate discontinuities during high gravity events and also help reduce stresses on connector. Offered in 6 ranges from 2,500-70,000 G, electrically isolated and hermetically sealed unit comes with integral electronics.
Chatsworth, CA (February 21, 2008) - Dytran Instruments, Inc. has just introduced a new series of IEPE accelerometers designed for drop / shock testing and far field blast testing. The 3086A series has a very high natural frequency (100kHz) which makes it ideal for high shock measurements. This miniature piezoelectric accelerometer weighs only 3.5 grams and is recognizable by its top mounted solder pins. The solder terminals eliminate discontinuities during high g events and also reduce stresses on the connector. Because of its unique mounting design, the cable for the 3086A is easily replaceable in the field.
The 3086A series is available in 6 ranges from 2,500g to 70,000g. It has integral electronics, is electrically isolated and hermetically sealed. To learn more about the 3086A series, please visit the Dytran website at www.dytran.com or email info@dytran.com. Priced between $439 and $498.
