RFID wristband overcomes distance limitations inherent when Gen 2 tags are placed on human body. Made of durable and non-allergenic silicon, wristband is designed for uniform operation globally from 860-960 MHz. Gen 2 Band is suited for health systems for patient care, event management for attendee tracking, theme parks for admission or access control, ski operators or any other setting requiring read distance greater than that offered by 13.56 MHz technology.
GAO RFID Inc. has developed a ground-breaking Gen 2 RFID wristband - GAO GEN 2 Wristband (patent pending). The wristband overcomes the distance limitations inherent when Gen 2 tags are placed on the human body and is made of durable and non-allergenic silicon. The innovative new RFID tag, tested on the wrist, has an average read range of at least one meter (approximately one yard or 36 inches).
The Gen 2 Band is ideally suited for the health systems for patient care, event management for attendee tracking, theme parks for admission or access control, ski operators or any other setting requiring a read distance greater than that offered by traditional 13.56 MHz technology.
GAO's Gen 2 Band is designed for uniform operation globally from 860 to 960 MHz, which enables each individual wristband to be used successfully for the unique RFID operating frequencies of the Americas, Europe, Asia and Africa.
The Gen2 Band is manufactured in North America and will begin shipping Q1 2008.
