Grinding Machine has grinding head in six o'clock position.

April 10, 2002 - TEG-3 Tungsten Electrode Grinding Machine prevents dust from being thrown upwards so that users can see clearly how grinding is progressing. It is designed for grinding tips on tungsten electrodes as used in Tungsten Inert Gas and Plasma welding. Tool will axially grind all diameters of tungsten welding electrode from 1.0 to 6.4 mm and lengths down to 15 mm with collet accessory. Its electric motor is rated at either 110 or 220 V, 50/60 Hz single phase.

Release date: March 20, 2002

UPDATED GRINDING MACHINE FOR TUNGSTEN WELDING ELECTRODES.

Following the last 20 years success with the TEG-2 and TEG-3 Tungsten Electrode Grinding Machines, Huntingdon Fusion Techniques Limited has updated the design by changing the grinding head from the three o'clock to the six o'clock position.

Key advantages of this change are that dust is no longer thrown upwards towards the operators face while grinding and the operator can now see more clearly how the grinding is progressing.

The TEG - 3, continues to be manufactured in the UK to European CE regulations and conforms to all required standards. It has been designed especially for the grinding of tips on tungsten electrodes as used in TIG and Plasma welding.

This useful tool will axially grind all diameters of tungsten welding electrode from 1.0 to 6.4 mm and lengths down to 15 mm with the aid of the special collet accessory.

Three man years of grinding life are provided by the relatively low cost diamond wheel which is protected by a front cover preventing the grinding of other materials, thus eliminating the risk of contaminating electrodes with other materials, which would transfer to and contaminate the weld pool.

A low cost vacuum unit to extract the dust is available for bolting onto the side of the grinder as an accessory.

Correct speed for diamond grinding of tungsten is provided by the powerful, guaranteed for life, electric motor which is available for use on either 110 volt or 220 volt, 50/60 hz single phase connection.
